The Altar Guild is responsible for setting up the elements offered by the people of the church for the Eucharist, respectful care of the communion items after our celebration of Thanksgiving, and care of the altar linens. The Altar Guild also changes the colors of the altar hangings to reflect the various seasons of the church year and major feast days as designated by the liturgical calendar and for special services such as weddings and funerals.
You are invited to be a member of the Altar Guild, which is a way of becoming involved in a "behind the scenes" way in the worship service. Members become familiar with the liturgical calendar, the various orders of service and the elements utilized during the worship service. If you are interested in joining, please contact Patty, Jane, or any member of the Altar Guild who can easily be identified after a worship service near and around the altar area.
