The Simon Ministry is a ministry to and for the Parish. It is open to everyone – as giver or receiver. The purpose of the Simon Ministry is to support parishioners in difficult life events and to celebrate with them happier occasions, i.e. to help them in any way we can. In the past year, we have made hospital visits and home visits to the sick, taken communion to the homebound, provided food in times of illness, provided transportation to church and to medical appointments, sent condolence and get well card, and made numerous phone calls checking on folks and offering help. There is always a service need and the only requirement for receiving help is to let the coordinator, our Priest, the church office, or other parishioners know that you or someone else needs assistance. And the only requirement for serving with the Simon Ministry is to let the Coordinator know that you are interested and willing to "show-up" when those on-the-instant needs arise.
