The coming of November generally reminds us of beautiful fall foliage, (sight). Perhaps, at this time of the year, as an elementary school child you sang, (hearing), "Over the river and through the woods to grandmother's house we go!"
Upon arriving at grandmother's house, and receiving the heartfelt welcome hugs and kisses, (touch), we immediately processed to the dining room where the wonderful aroma, (smell), of turkey, dressing, cranberry sauce, and pumpkin pie filled the air.
Before dinner began, everyone would hold hands and recite the favorite family blessing:
"Lord, we thank you for this food and all of the many blessings you bestow upon us. Please keep us ever mindful of the needs of others. AMEN."
I am sorry to say there were, and still are, some of us Delias who do not wait for the "EN in AMEN" before starting to (taste)!
I would like to thank God for the blessing of all the five principal senses He has given me. With these senses, I am able to experience the love of my family and friends and, not least, that of my Ascension Family.
